Environmental Health Indicators can effect children's health more significantly than adults. Children are smaller in size and closer to the ground, their hearts beat faster and their bodies are still growing so the air we breathe and any pollution on the ground would filter into a child's body more easily.

Examining the heat index and air quality of your county can lead to greater awareness of the changes in our climate and strategies to protect our children and communities.
